Following the shooting at Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, King Charles contacted the president.

Fox News Digital has discovered that the king wrote the former president a private letter on Sunday.

The embassy of the United Kingdom in Washington presented the letter. Regarding what was in the letter, Buckingham Palace chose not to comment.

Trump and Charles have met multiple times throughout the years, so they are not strangers.

In 2005, during Charles and Queen Camilla’s tour to the United States, they first came into contact. In 2018, they reconnected during the funeral of President George H.W. Bush.

According to remarks Trump made at the time, the two met in 2019 to talk about climate change, and although the meeting was only supposed to last fifteen minutes, it ended up lasting an hour and a half. At that point, he recalled, Charles, an environmentalist for a long time, “did most of the talking.”

According to Clarence House, Trump and Charles get along well and have a “good working relationship.”

Charles’ message comes after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Trump on Sunday, denouncing the violence, extending sympathies to the victims and their families, and wishing the former president and those injured a speedy recovery.

Many reports claim that Trump spent a large portion of Sunday making calls to both friends and government representatives. Longtime ally Ohio Pastor Darrell Scott reported that Trump “was in great spirits” when they spoke early on Sunday morning, only hours after the shooting.

“As usual, he was excellent. Scott claimed that “He didn’t even make a big deal out of it.” “He was actually trying to downplay it somewhat, asking how I was doing.”

As he was speaking at a rally on Saturday night in preparation for this fall’s presidential election, Trump was slightly hit by a gunshot.

The former president was not gravely hurt, despite pictures showing blood on his face. However, an expert did tell Fox News Digital that he could have died from the gunshot if he hadn’t moved his head at the precise moment.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman, was shot and died on the spot. He was 20 years old. In addition, Corey Comperatore, a rallygoer, was slain. The injuries of two other rallygoers are reportedly stable.

King Charles, who received a cancer diagnosis earlier this year, has been concentrating on getting back into the swing of things.

Charles appears to be fully recovered after taking a break from his royal duties. He made his first appearance in public since his comeback last month to commemorate the D-Day Landings’ 80th anniversary.

He addressed the assembly of politicians and veterans in a video posted on the official royal website, saying, “The stories of courage, resilience and solidarity we have heard today and throughout our lives cannot fail to move us, to inspire us and to remind us of what we owe to that great wartime generation, now tragically dwindling to so few.”

He later made an appearance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony alongside a number of other royal family members, including Kate Middleton, who is now undergoing treatment for cancer.

He’s traveling with Camilla to the Channel Islands today for a special States Assembly session.
