NBA YoungBoy has been serving a two-year house arrest in Utah.
Overall, this derives from a charge in Louisiana, where he is currently awaiting trial. Throughout this time, he has continued to create songs and film music videos on his property. However, it appears that YoungBoy’s legal difficulties have worsened significantly. According to DJ Akademiks, the rapper was detained on Tuesday and faces multiple counts.
The accusations that are at issue include “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” Previously, officials suspected YoungBoy of using drugs in his home, and they planned to use this as a grounds to terminate his house arrest. With his most recent arrest, it appears that he will be incarcerated for some time. As Akademiks states in his reports, he is currently bond-free.
“NBA Youngboy was arrested and booked yesterday,” Akademiks said. “He currently has no bond and these new charges threatens his federally approved house arrest which prosecutors were already trying to revoke after they claimed he was doing drugs and they asked him to stop and he told them no.” There are little information about what precipitated these charges and what YoungBoy is accused of doing.
