In an emotional Instagram post, the musician reminded fans that she “didn’t sign up for this s—,” before finishing the statement with, “I QUIT,” due to the incessant online vitriol she receives.
“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it,” she said in a statement. “But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.”
Her lengthy post continued with her criticism of untrue public claims regarding the artist.

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views,” he said. “Being the butt of the joke every time because of my appearance. “People who don’t know me are picking apart my character and disrespecting my name.”
Her statement follows her ongoing legal struggle with her former dancers. In August 2023, three of Lizzo’s backup dancers sued the musician. The trio accused Lizzo of sexual harassment and creating a hostile workplace environment. The singer has refuted the charges.
On August 3, 2023, Lizzo responded to the charges against her in a series of Instagram posts.
“I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be for the last few days,” she was quoted as saying.
In addition, Lizzo is facing a lawsuit from another former employee who claims the “Truth Hurts” singer tolerated bullying, harassment, and racial discrimination on her staff.
