Lil Wayne spoke on FS1’s “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless on Friday to discuss his feud with the team, blaming it all on security.
“They was just doing their job,” the rap icon stated, explaining that while he was attempting to make his way to his courtside seat, a staffer stopped his team and urged them to enter from another part of the arena instead.
But when they reached to the second entrance, Weezy realized they’d have to ask other spectators to get up from their seats to let his group in… and he didn’t want to trouble them, so he returned to the original entrance.
When Wayne returned, he stated that the same employee became agitated, saying, “I told you guys to go to the other entrance!” — which he thought was slightly out of line.
Wayne further stated that he was told after the event that the problem was that he would have to wait for a dead ball to get to his seat — but this was not communicated to him.
Tunechi, who revealed he was only at the game as part of a brand agreement, claimed the experience left a terrible taste in his mouth… and he’ll only return to Crypto because his son is a huge Laker fan.
Lil Wayne claims he was “treated like s***” during the Lakers game on Thursday night, and he’s so upset that he is ready to cut connections with his favorite team.
It’s unclear what occurred to Weezy when he made his way to Crypto.Com Arena to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Washington Wizards… but barely 90 minutes after the game began, he turned to X to bash the purple and gold.
“Wow!” he commented. “Got treated like s*** at the Laker game just now.”
Wayne didn’t go into specifics, but he felt it was all related to some past comments he’d made against one of the team’s superstars, Anthony Davis.
If you are unfamiliar… Wayne, who is always visible in courtside seats at Lakers games, appears on Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed,” and when the conversation turns to LA basketball, he is frequently critical of Davis. In fact, on a November broadcast, he stated that the team should simply trade the nine-time All-Star.

In his post on X, Wayne said, “I figured they’d do me that sooner or later” “because of what I said about AD,” but he also added that he’s had an uneasy feeling about the club for a while now, which has him wondering his fandom going ahead.
“All good, I understand,” he answered. “F*** em. It isn’t exactly what it appears to be. “I am used to it.”

As of Friday morning, neither he nor the Lakers have commented further on the situation.
However, it appears that a number of other celebrities were able to attend the game… Flea, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Corey Gamble, Jay Mohr, and even Chevy Chase were seen smiling close courtside.
Everyone in attendance had a great day watching LeBron James and Davis combine for 71 points in a 134-131 overtime victory.
