Your wait is ended, Selenators. Selena Gomez officially released her first musical project of 2024 on Thursday (Feb. 15), a new track named “Love On,” which is an appropriate title for the day following Valentine’s Day.
The 31-year-old pop diva announced the news in an Instagram post, telling followers that the music will be released on Thursday, February 22. “Wait ’til I turn my love on,” she captioned the announcement, possibly citing one of the song’s lyrics. “Presave my new song ‘Love On’ out 2.22.”

The singer-actress also posted the track’s cover art, which shows Gomez wearing a white bathrobe, sunglasses, and a hair towel while leaning against a beautiful window frame. Outside, miles of pure blue ocean stretch behind her.
The title of the song is printed in loopy red script, giving the image a retro air.
“Love On” will be Gomez’s first release since her Benny Blanco-produced comeback single “Single Soon,” which dropped in August. The song debuted at its current peak of No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Both “Single Soon” and “Love On” are anticipated to appear on the Only Murders in the Building star’s planned third album, which is set to be released this year. Gomez has already stated that her next album is in the works, however it could be her last. In January, she hinted that she would retire from music in the near future, saying, “I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting.”
Gomez’s most recent album, Rare, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in January 2020 and produced the Wizards of Waverly Place alum’s first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, “Lose You To Love Me.”
