Paramount will discontinue the streaming application version of three of its primary networks, namely Comedy Central, MTV, and Paramount Network.
Although the apps are currently available, a listing on the Apple App Store indicates that they will be terminated. Alternatively, it guides viewers to get the episodes and films on various networks via their TV provider or on MTV.com.
The applications for other prominent networks such as Nickelodeon, VH1, and BET seem to be functioning well and do not display any indication of being discontinued on their respective App Store listings.

The reason for the imminent end was not provided, however, it comes after Paramount informed subscribers about the closure of the Showtime Anytime app on December 14. Paramount has integrated Showtime programming into its Paramount+ app, with the intention of gradually directing its viewers towards its subscription-based streaming service.
The Comedy Central, MTV, and Paramount Network are “TV everywhere” applications that grant free access to their programming with verification of a pay-TV membership. Given the declining number of cable customers and the increasing popularity of streaming services, it is likely that the demand for these apps will diminish in the future.
