The most viewers increased year over year on Amazon for the most recent Thursday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs; this increase was probably aided by the Taylor Swift impact.
A year ago’s Commanders vs. Bears game had an average of 13.8 million views for the TNF broadcast on Prime Video, a 57% increase. After the Week 2 and Week 3 games, this is the third-most-watched TNF game ever on Prime Video.

The numbers show how live sports are becoming more and more popular on streaming services, an idea that was virtually unheard of only a few years ago. With more than twice as many viewers as the National League Division Series match between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves on TBS and TruTV, the show crushed its nearest rival.
Expected interest in Taylor Swift’s appearance probably helped this game. She went to the Chiefs game once more in support of tight end Travis Kelce, where she sat behind Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce. Megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who are costarring in Deadpool 3, joined her for the most recent game, making her appearance more appealing to a wider audience than just football enthusiasts.
However, Amazon pointed out that for the past five weeks, the business has seen double-digit increases in viewership, indicating momentum for its streaming service.

Not only does Amazon offer live sports, but YouTube TV offers the NFL’s Sunday Ticket, while Apple TV offers Major League Soccer, which has become increasingly popular since Lionel Messi joined the team. Recently, Max debuted its own sports package, featuring the same programming as TruTV, TBS, and TNT.
