Deion Sanders was feeling ill on Thursday following a severe reaction to medicine… Coach Prime was forced to miss his radio show on Thursday, but Colorado claims the Hall of Famer is well!
The weekly radio broadcast for the Colorado Buffaloes began Thursday afternoon with one notable omission… Deion, the man everyone was waiting to hear from.
Instead, assistant coach Gary “Flea” Harrell took the microphone… and show host Mark Johnson gave an update on Sanders.

“We’re not going to have Coach Prime here today,” Johnson explained. “We received notification a little while ago that (he) was a little under the weather and had a bad reaction to his immune IVs, is what I was told.”
According to The Denver Post, a spokeswoman for the Buffs did not provide any other information, but stated that the coach was alright.
Sanders has experienced a number of health difficulties after donning the headset. Sanders had two toes on his right foot removed in 2022.
The good news is that Coach Prime is expected to be well enough to go with his team to Arizona State on Saturday.
The Buffs started the season 3-0 and were ranked in the top 20 in the country… until they were blown out by Oregon.
Last Saturday, Colorado gave USC a run for their money late in the second half, but fell short, 48-41.
