Fans were concerned this summer when news surfaced that LeBron James’ son Bronny had a heart attack during a basketball practice with the University of Southern California Trojans.

Bronny was found to have a congenital cardiac problem. His issue is an anatomically and functionally important Congenital Heart Defect that can be addressed, according to his family. Now, LeBron James is dedicated his season to Bronny and says that he is performing admirably.

Bronny James plans to play for USC this season after experiencing cardiac arrest during a team exercise in July, according to LeBron James during the Los Angeles Lakers’ media day on Monday.

Bronny, James’ 19-year-old son and a freshman guard for the Trojans, underwent “successful surgery” and is working toward a return to the court.

Bronny is on school studying studies and has not yet rejoined the Trojans, who began practice for the 2023-24 season last week.

“Bronny is doing extremely well,” stated LeBron on Monday. “He has begun his rehab process in order to return to the court with his USC teammates this season.” He’s on the mend thanks to his excellent operation. This summer has been a tornado of emotions for our family, but the best thing we have is each other.”
