Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, has finalized his divorce from estranged wife Nicole Shanahan, who was accused – and denied – of having an affair with Elon Musk.
According to court documents obtained by a source, the judge approved the duo’s divorce on May 26.
The former couple will share joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Echo.
Any financial concerns were kept private and will be resolved through the couple’s prenuptial agreement.

Brin, 50, filed for divorce from Shanahan, 34, after three years of marriage on January 6, 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
While Shanahan did not contest the divorce at the time, the creator of the Bia-Echo Foundation did pursue spousal support.
She was allocated “non-guideline” child support, according to the document. The amount, however, is kept private.
Although the alleged affair triggered the divorce, both the Tesla creator and Shanahan have strenuously denied any adultery.
“This is total bs,” Musk tweeted after the Wall Street Journal published a bombshell report on the alleged affair in July 2022. “Sergey and I are friends, and we were at a party last night!”
“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around,” he stated. “Nothing romantic.”

Musk, 52, went on to accuse the site of “character assassination,” even admitting he hadn’t “had sex in ages (sigh).”
Shanahan called the claim a “outright lie” at the time. A year later, she told People that she and SpaceX founder Elon Musk had a “collegial” relationship.
“Did Elon and I have sex, like it was a passionate moment, and then it was over?” “No,” Shanahan asserted in July.
“Was there a romantic relationship between us?” No. We never had an affair.”
In a response, a WSJ representative stated, “We are confident in our sourcing, and we stand by our reporting.”
Shanahan added that she sought advise from Musk on how to assist with Echo’s autism therapies because he has been public about his own Asperger’s disease.
“It was a very meaningful conversation about life and how people show up for one another,” she explained.
“To be painted with such a massive scarlet letter for it just seems so unfair.”
