Matthew McConaughey and his family are helping to sponsor an emergency supply plane to aid families affected by the Maui wildfires.

The actor, his wife Camila Alves McConaughey, and their 15-year-old son Levi have teamed up with the nonprofit organization Baby2Baby to send emergency assistance materials to victims of the recent Maui wildfires.

“We know you’re probably already aware of the devastation on the island of Maui,” Matthew stated in an Instagram video message. “The fires over there have displaced so many people and taken so many lives.” These folks must stabilize in order to survive.

“Camila, myself, and Levi work with a charity called Baby2Baby.” They are currently collaborating with colleagues on the ground in Maui, adding, “This is what people need right now.” This is what the most vulnerable people require.”

“If you’d like to help, check out Baby2Baby,” Matthew finished in his video. Examine the work they’re doing and any other ways you may assist. There’s a lot of support needed,” Levi said, adding, “Yeah, they’re going to need it for the long haul, so any manner you guys can help is really welcomed.”

“McConaughey’s (sic) are funding an emergency aid plane with @Baby2Baby that is filled with hundreds of thousands more emergency supplies that will have an immediate impact on children and families on Maui,” the actor said in the caption. We are grateful that we can assist in getting these important items to children and families in need.”

As a result of the disastrous wildfires, thousands of Maui residents have been displaced, and 106 people have died.
