The shooting of “A Quiet Place: Day One” was done before the Hollywood strikes.
Paramount has said that some of its movies, like the prequel to “A Quiet Place,” were already done before the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) union members started walking off the job to demand better pay and working conditions.
At the moment, the movie is scheduled to come out on March 8, 2024. No one knows for sure if this date will change, but things are looking good.
Bob Bakish, the CEO of Paramount Global, told Variety, “The good news about our film slate is that production is done on a large number of films.” This includes movies like “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Bob Marley,” “If” by John Krasinski, “A Quiet Place: Day One,” and “Dear Santa” with Jack Black. We also have the show ‘Mean Girls’ for Paramount+. Strikes do make it harder to market, which is something we’re trying to figure out in terms of our release plan, but again, we have plenty of stock. You also heard about the CBS alternate plan, which is also very strong and uses our global multi-platform asset base.
Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Denis O’Hare, and Alex Wolff all have roles in the scary movie.
The Man on the Island, played by Djimon Hounsou, is coming back.
The first two movies in the series take place in a post-apocalyptic world where blind monsters with very sensitive hearing have taken over. This makes it hard for a family to live in silence.

And the new prequel takes place in New York at the start of the Death Angel attack. During the first few days of the end of the world, Nyong’o’s character will also try to protect her two children.
The movie is being directed by Michael Sarnoski. Jeff Nichols wrote the story, which is based on an idea that John Krasinski came up with on his own. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will all work with Krasinski to make movies under his Sunday Night name for Platinum Dunes.
