On Friday night, just days before his terrible death, Angus Cloud celebrated the release of MacArthur Maze’s Blvck Saturday record.
The Euphoria star appeared to be in good spirits in photographs from the release party, wearing a black sweatshirt with a baseball hat. According to the US Sun, he stayed “for a few hours and did not show any signs of a personal struggle.”
Josh Kennedy, the photographer for MacArthur Maze, told the newspaper that Cloud was “very, very happy to be home.” Cloud reportedly discussed future intentions to “direct a music video” for the rap group.

Cloud’s family released a statement on Monday announcing his death. “It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” they wrote. Angus was special to all of us in so many ways as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son. He buried his father last week and suffered greatly with his grief. The only solace we have is that Angus has been reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus was honest about his struggles with mental health, and we hope that his death would serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone, and that they should not fight this alone and in secret.”
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone,” the family said. We want privacy at this time because we are still grieving the loss of our loved one.”
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of Angus Cloud’s passing,” an HBO spokeswoman told CNN. He was a huge talent and a cherished member of the HBO and Euphoria families. During this sad time, we express our heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.” View photos from Cloud’s night at the MacArthur Maze release party here.
