Fans of Johnny Depp were startled and perplexed when it was announced minutes before his latest engagement with Hollywood Vampires that they would not be performing as planned.

The musical supergroup, which is presently touring Europe, was scheduled to perform in Budapest, Hungary on July 18, but took to social media moments before the event to provide an update.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Vampires will be canceling tonight’s show in Budapest,” they said in a statement.

“All tickets (general and VIP, including meet and greet) will be fully refunded.” We sincerely apologize to all of the supporters who went from near and far to witness us ascend. Please accept our apologies, The Hollywood Vampires.” The star also posted the remark to his Instagram Stories.

Several guests expressed concern for the members’ well-being after learning of the statement only minutes before the show was scheduled to begin.

“Canceling the show while we’re queuing is questionably strange,” one wrote. “I sincerely hope everyone is okay,” one person said, adding, “There could be something seriously wrong with a member of the crew or band.” Otherwise, I’m confident they won’t cancel. Please be patient. They’ll tell when they’re ready.”

“Please only let it be huge technical issues or whatever, no one from the Vampires or the team,” a third added. “I’m very concerned…” While many speculated that Johnny, 60, was ill because he was seen hobbling around on crutches earlier, no official word has been published from any of the band members.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star hurt his ankle in June, forcing the band to cancel their opening gigs in the United States. He was forced to leave the stage to recover, and the band issued a statement indicating that the gigs would be rescheduled.

“Johnny has suffered a painful ankle injury as a result of his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.” “He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so that all four Vampires can give their all on the European tour,” it said.

The supergroup’s members first met in 2012.
Their European tour will continue throughout the month, culminating on July 23rd in Germany, followed by a three-day performance in the United States to make up for the recently canceled engagements, closing on July 30th.

Due to an ankle injury, the actor was forced to cancel previous appearances.
Jonny joined the supergroup Hollywood Vampires in 2012, playing slide, rhythm, and lead guitar, as well as keyboards and backing and lead vocals. The name is derived from a famous drinking club founded by Alice Cooper in the 1970s, and it has partnered with musicians such as Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, and Joe Walsh.
