According to a source at Heat Magazine, Cruise has been pursuing the singer despite her ‘begging’ him to stop.

Cruise reportedly brought Shakira a bouquet of roses after hanging out at the swanky settings of the Grand Prix – talk about a meet-cute – but the romantic gesture wasn’t enough to change her mind.

The source went on to say that the Mission: Impossible star was ‘giddy’ after spending time with Shakira and was even behaving similarly to ‘how he did’ when he first began dating his ex-wife, Katie Holmes.

“He came away convinced they had a real connection they needed to build on,” the insider said.

“She doesn’t want to embarrass or upset him, but she has no attraction or romance — she was just being friendly.” She is flattered, but she isn’t interested.”

While the F1 encounter was more than enough to start rumors about the two joining forces to form the ultimate power couple, another insider told US Weekly that Shakira was completely uninterested.

They revealed, “Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her — and how fans are chiming in with their opinions — but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true.”

Following her breakup with former Spanish player Gerard Piqué, 36, who allegedly cheated on her, the singer is now focusing on motherhood rather than love life, according to the insider.

Piqué has officially begun a new relationship with Clara Chia Marti, 23, after being together for 11 years.

“He [Tom] was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she’s not interested in dating him or anyone else right now.” “She has a lot on her plate and is currently focused on her children and career,” the person stated.
