The ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’ hitmakers are thrilled to be joining the ‘Forget Me’ singer as the primary support for a series of outdoor concerts this summer.

Danny Jones stated in the Wired column of the Daily Star newspaper, “Bon Jovi was today’s Lewis Capaldi!”

The quarter, comprised of Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter, views Lewis as a musician at heart, and the opportunity to support him was too good to pass up.

Dougie continued, “I am a tremendous fan. He’s an outstanding dude. I am impatient.

“When those performances were confirmed, I thought to myself, ‘Wow, that’s one of the most exciting things I’ve heard in a long time.

We rarely fill supporting roles due to a lack of suitable opportunities. This is an extraordinary chance.”

In the meantime, the band is looking forward to releasing their new album ‘Power To Play’ on June 8 with a special performance at Camden’s Underworld, as well as continuing to expand their “community”.

Danny stated that the album was intended to contain something new, thrilling, and innovative. We want people to create lasting memories with this album.

“The McFly fan community is so amazing, and the friendships they forge are incredibly significant.

We can already predict which songs and lyrics will resonate with listeners the most.

In a recent statement, the ‘Obviously’ hitmakers said of the new song and album, “Once we decided that we were going to do 80s rock, there was just something about it that was so McFly. High concept, instruments in the forefront, and colorful. It’s everything we’ve ever enjoyed about music and everything we do with this band.”

They acknowledged that their inspiration came from their own concert experiences.

Last year, we all went to see Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer, and it was incredible to see so many people at the same venue enjoying rock music. Rock music celebrates life and having a good time, and it feels like we’ve been deprived of that for so long.” Lewis Capaldi is the new Bon Jovi.
