Christine Costner, Kevin Costner's Wife, Asks For Divorce

After 18 years of marriage, Christine Costner, Kevin Costner’s wife, has filed for divorce.

Christine moved to divorce the Yellowstone actor on Monday, according to court records obtained by TMZ. She did not ask for spousal maintenance and stated that the reason for the divorce was irreconcilable differences.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, a representative for Kevin Costner said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.” As they navigate this challenging time, “We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected.”

In September 2004, Christine and Kevin got married. They have three kids together: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12. Christine was born Christine Baumgartner.

Kevin said about his ex-wife to People in November of last year, “My wife does things that just absolutely… Just to help. She makes the house look nicer.

“She has made everything warmer. She does these tiny things, and I believe they are motivated by love, but she also creates a comfortable environment for herself.

Along with these children, Kevin has 27-year-old Liam with his former partner Bridget Rooney and 39-year-old Annie, 36-year-old Lily, and 35-year-old Joe with his first wife Cindy.
