According to Kelly Clarkson, her dyslexic daughter River Rose “is getting bullied” at school.

Tuesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show included Henry Winkler, a guest who is dyslexic and the author of numerous children’s books, and during their conversation, Kelly started to cry.

Kelly revealed that eighth-grader River, who has a learning problem, has been bullied at school because she is unable to read at the same rate as her peers. River is in the second grade.

She said to Henry, “I was driving my daughter to school yesterday, and she’s dyslexic, and you’ve told me that you’re also dyslexic.” “I find that amazing,” I say to my daughter, who is being teased at school for being unable to read like the other children, “because you’ve written like 40 books and you’re dyslexic.”

She noted that a school assembly when River learnt about prominent people who have the learning disability, which mostly affects reading, writing, and spelling, “really empowered” River.

The Happy Days actor assured Kelly that River was “part of the tribe” and addressed the small boy personally in his response.

“River!” Speaking to the camera was Henry. “Your intelligence has nothing to do with how you learn.”

Kelly cried and joked, “My make-up artist is going to kill me!,” before grabbing a tissue to wipe her tears. That’s really nice.

The singer and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock are parents to River and Remington, who is seven.
