Courtney Love Remembers Kurt Cobain 29 Years After His Death

29 years after Kurt Cobain’s passing, Courtney Love paid tribute to him on Thursday.

The singer for Hole observed the 29th anniversary of her late husband’s passing on Thursday via Instagram. The 27-year-old founder of Nirvana committed suicide on April 5, 1994.

Michael Stipe captured a photo of Kurt’s hands during his lifetime, and Courtney shared the image, praising the “powerful photograph” for capturing her “twin flame,” before adding, “It is one of the only images (or sounds/tastes etc.) that makes me miss him deeply.”

But he chanted frequently with me and was genuinely inspired by our Buddhist practice, she said. Therefore, I am more confident that he is enlightened than we are here in Mappo. I also want to say that we love and miss you.

Frances, the 30-year-old daughter of Courtney and Kurt, also paid tribute to the late artist on Instagram Stories.

Death, according to her, “is like the wave returning back to the ocean, back to its most natural state,” she wrote. Life, she continued, “is like a wave crashing upon the shore.” “Free from human suffering, death has a purpose.”

“It is what makes life so precious, in the same way pain is purposeful because we wouldn’t know joy without it,” Frances said in her conclusion.
