The trial for the homicide of XXXTentacion has been ongoing for almost five years.
The rapper was robbed and killed in Florida in July 2018 as he attempted to exit a motorcycle store by being approached by four people. When a different car obstructed his exit, he was still in his car. The failed robbery took a deadly turn when the group rushed out and attacked the rapper right away.
Robert Allen, one of the defendants, has already decided to admit guilt to second-degree murder. He testified against his erstwhile friends after becoming a state witness. Tony Robinson, a female witness, was also summoned to give testimony. She testified to the court that it was her responsibility to hire the car that was used in the murder.
Asked to have Big Rob (Allen) contact him directly because Chucky, Dedrick Williams, wouldn’t be there, Robinson said, “I got a call from Chucky saying that Big Rob (Allen) wanted to rent a car.” The car was wrecked by three of the four guys after XXXTentacion was killed. Robinson testified that Williams had previously apologized to her for getting her “swept up” in the case.

The alleged participation of several celebrities in this case has been another problem. Since there have been reports that Drake planned XXXTentacion’s murder, his name has been brought up numerous times. It seems improbable, and Robert Allen admitted in court that he knows nothing about Drizzy. In reality, he claimed to have never spoken to Drake and not even know anyone from Toronto. He was questioned about his relationship with DJ Akademiks and Ski Mask The Slump God, but he also denied knowing them.

Drake was almost able to testify in court after being questioned. Nevertheless, his lawyer moved quickly, and luckily for the rapper, the motion was overturned. According to reports, Allen’s statement about the crime has been difficult for defense lawyers to refute. The evidence against the three surviving defendants is strong despite their efforts to cast doubt on him and even introduce the Drake theory.
