Drake Wishes To Avoid Questioning About XXXTENTACION, But May Have No Choice

XXXtentacion’s murder has been linked to four men: Dedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright, and Robert Allen. In December, Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, was listed as a witness by Williams’ attorney, Mauricio Padilla. Later, he contended in court that Drake was need to testify since the police had not thoroughly looked into a rumored conflict between him and XXXtentacion.

If anyone tried to kill me in 2018, it was Drake, according to XXXtentacion in a social media post that was later removed. Drake’s Instagram handle is @champagnepapi. Later, he claimed that his account had been compromised.

In January, Padilla summoned Drake to attend for a deposition and claimed that Drake failed to do so. Judge Michael Usan then issued an injunction requiring Drake to show up for a deposition on February 24 or risk being charged with contempt. The judge determined that Padilla had made sufficient arguments to permit the deposition to proceed, but she also made it clear that the deposition’s scope might be restricted and that the transcript would remain confidential.

A deposition is a transcript of a witness’s in-person interview conducted outside of court that may, in some cases, be used as evidence in court.

As a result of Drake not being properly served with the subpoena and the lack of any proof that he had any knowledge pertinent to the case, Drake’s attorneys filed a motion on Sunday attempting to have the order reversed. They asserted that the defense attorney was only attempting to include prominent celebrities in the case so they could garner media attention.
