A six-date UK tour at various castles and football stadiums has been confirmed by Sir Rod Stewart, who is now “impatiently” waiting for summer to arrive.
When the 78-year-old singer returns to the road in the next months to make stops at places like Edinburgh Castle and Northampton’s Cinch Stadium, he can’t wait to be “dancing under the stars.”
In a statement, he stated: “Summer nights with a few beers and the best fans in the world are some of my favorite recollections.
“I can’t wait to perform this summer at a range of unique locations, including estates, castles, and stadiums for football, cricket, and rugby!
All of us will be dancing outside under the sky.
Rod will begin his run of concerts in the UK on June 24 at Plymouth’s Home Park Stadium before traveling 230 miles to Northampton’s Cinch Stadium on June 28 and performing two days later at Durham’s Seat Unique Riverside stadium.
After taking a few days off, Rod will perform on July 2 at Bristol’s Badminton Estate, the Estate’s inaugural live event, before returning to the north.
This time, on July 4, he will perform at Hull’s Sewell Group Craven Park stadium. His six-date Global Hits Tour run will come to an end in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Rod, whose father was born in Edinburgh, won’t have performed at the city’s iconic castle for the first time in 13 years.
