Momoa has reportedly reaffirmed his role as Aquaman.
Momoa claims that there will be lots more after the December release of his Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom.
I love [James] Gunn, so there are going to be some really cool stuff [that] they’re doing with DC, Momoa stated in a statement to Deadline. Without a doubt, I’ll participate in more than one.
He continued, “There’s room for me to play a couple other [roles].” I’ve seen it done by other actors. Yeah. I need a chance.
When asked about his role in the DC world created by Warner Bros., Momoa responded, “We have a special bond. a residence is Warner Bros. We’re going to be doing a lot of things over there. I wish I had more to say.
I’ll always be Aquaman, and that has undergone a lot of change. Therefore, I’m not leaving, and it’s exciting, he continued.
A lot of fantastic things are coming, Momoa teased in a separate interview with Variety.
I will forever be Aquaman. The rumors are unfounded. Nobody goes in there and takes a dump.
It follows the dismissal of Henry Cavill as Superman and the cancellation or postponement of other projects after James Gunn and Peter Safran took control of the DC universe in October.
A sequel to Black Adam in the duo’s “first chapter” of DC has not been planned, according to Dwayne Johnson, who also disclosed that Wonder Woman 3 has been put on hold at the studio.
Zachary Levi, however, has refuted rumors that a new actor will play the part of Shazam.
In response to criticism of some of the choices, Gunn recently said that “a certain percentage of people online” had been “uproarious and rude.”
The DC characters, who have been around for nearly 85 years, were taken into consideration while making decisions for the DCU, according to Gunn. These decisions are made with sincerity, integrity, and a constant focus on the narrative, whether they are good or bad.
