It looks like the 2024 presidential election will be an exciting ride. While Trump appears to be attempting to lead the Republican party back into the White House, Biden will run for a second term. Afroman, though, appears to be a different contender that everyone should be on the lookout for.
The “Because I Got High” rapper declared his candidacy for president during a Poplar Bluff, Missouri, event, according to TMZ. He informed the audience during his performance at the Black River Coliseum that he will be entering politics in the hopes of becoming the next US president.
He asked the gathering, “Can I make the biggest announcement I ever made in my life?” to thunderous acclaim. “In 20-20-fro, I’m running for president! Everywhere will have access to legal marijuana.
The platform of Afroman is quite clear. The person who wrote one of the best stoner songs ever revealed his intention to legalize marijuana for recreational use on a federal level, something that Vice President Biden has not done since taking office.

“I ARE CAMPAIGNING TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! TWENTY TWENTY VOTES FOR NO! Afroman wrote the post’s caption.
He reiterated his intentions to run for president in a second video posted to his Instagram account. “Afroman, the huckster of the American Dream, is here. I’m 20-20-fro and I’m running for president. I’m going to have recreational marijuana legal in every state. You must vote for me.
It’s simple to write off the video as a joke, but Afroman’s team members informed TMZ that it’s a series about his campaign. Although it’s clear he’s passionate about legalizing marijuana on a bigger scale, he hasn’t stated his position on any other matters, whether they are national or worldwide. He will be running as an independent, according to his campaign.

Afroman has not yet submitted the required papers, but according to his staff, he is in the process of doing so.
