After Being Sentenced, Todd And Julie Chrisley Are Now Living Each Day As If It Were Their Last

After receiving a combined 19-year prison sentence, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley declared that they are living “every day” as if it were their “final.”

For the first time since being informed of their legal fate on November 21, the couple spoke out, telling podcast listeners on Wednesday that they are relying on their religion to see them through.

The novelist Priscilla Shirer is quoted as saying, “Age is simply a number, and since we don’t know our death date, we have to live every day as if it’s our last,” by Julie on “Chrisley Confessions.”

Yesterday is irrelevant. We have today, Todd acknowledged. “God owns tomorrow because tomorrow is not guaranteed to us.”

The former “Chrisley Knows Best” stars stated they are relying on a higher power and keeping their kids in mind as they move forward after being convicted guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud in June.

They are also monitoring how I deal with the challenges I’m facing, said Julie, 49, of her children. “They are waiting to see how I manage it; if I do it wrong, they are watching. Therefore, as a parent, I want to make sure that I do it well more often than I do it badly because I know they are watching and I know it will help them prepare for challenges they will, regrettably, face in the future.

Todd, 53, acknowledged they’ve “fallen short” lately despite their best efforts to continue serving as positive role models for their family.

You need to rise above your circumstances, believe that they won’t last forever and that you’ll eventually come out on the other side. Julie added that you’ll also be given the power you require to go through it.

But when you can’t see the end of the tunnel, I believe it can be difficult to accept.

In spite of their “dark days,” Todd continued, he and his wife had made the decision to “get up.”

Previously, Julie claimed that she never “consciously intended” to do anything illegal on her daughter Savannah Chrisley’s show.

I am aware of what I did, she said. “More importantly, I am aware of my inactions.”

The Chrisleys intend to appeal their sentences, which call for more than $17 million in reparations and probation.
