The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be hosted and executive produced by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs (BBMAs).
The Last Night singer will emcee and produce the annual event commemorating the 25th anniversary of his first BBMA win in 1997.
“This will be unlike any other awards ceremony. I’m bringing the love and raising the frequency to new heights “In a statement issued on Friday, he stated. “The Billboard Music Awards truly represent the artists and the state of music today, so I’m looking forward to curating the best live performances and surprises. The entire world must tune in to see.”
In an Instagram video, Diddy also teased what fans can expect on the night, saying, “That means I’m the host with the most responsibilities, the executive producer who makes all the decisions, and the ringmaster, P.T. Barnum-style. There’s no party like a Diddy party. We’re putting together one of the most controversial lineups in music history, with one of the most controversial hosts in music history – me!”
Burna Boy, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Rauw Alejandro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Mary J. Blige, the recipient of this year’s Icon Award, are currently on the bill.
On May 15, 2022, the Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
