Kathy Lamkin, best known for her role as the Desert Aire manager in No Country For Old Men, has died at the age of 74.
Lamkin died on Monday (April 4) after a brief illness, according to a statement released by her family (via Deadline). “Kathy will be missed by her family and friends, and she left an impression on everyone she met during her life on this Earth,” the statement says.
The actor appeared in a scene opposite Javier Bardem’s antagonist character Anton Chigurh in the Coen Brothers’ film No Country For Old Men. The film was nominated for a SAG award for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture in 2008.

Lamkin is best known for her role as The Tea Lady in the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the 2006 prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, in addition to No Country For Old Men.
Between 1990 and 2014, she appeared in 46 films and television projects, including Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Waiting For Guffman, Confession, In The Valley Of Elah, and The Heartbreak Kid.
In minor roles, she has appeared on Malcolm in the Middle, My Name Is Earl, Nip/Tuck, Bones, and Boston Legal. Her most recent appearance was in the 2014 short film Chimeras.
The actor also taught theatre arts at Houston’s Codwell Elementary School and produced a number of short film projects.
Lamkin is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Lamkin, as well as her daughter Kati, son Greg and his wife Jamie, and grandchildren Benjamin and Morgan.
