For the first time since he was accused of rape and sexual assault in London for alleged episodes that began in 1999, Russell Brand has been spotted.
Shortly after the allegations were made public, the English comedian and actor was seen on Friday around 10:30 AM strolling outside the Gasparilla Inn in Florida.
He was walking with his wife, Laura, and looked like he was on a family vacation. Additionally, pictures were taken of two of their three kids.
He was on his way to his golf cart after leaving the main inn area when the pictures were taken, an eyewitness told TMZ. He is renting a beachfront house from the upscale resort in Boca Grande.
Russell and Laura were spotted at the Charleston Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, on Thursday, suggesting that they are on a trip. During his visit, the “Stay Free” podcaster even stopped to take a selfie with admirers, according to a source.
Russell’s situation took a turn for the worse when the London Metropolitan Police Service said that he was facing several serious charges, including two counts of sexual assault, one act of oral rape, one count of indecent assault, and one crime of rape.
His charges, according to the police, stem from alleged instances involving four separate women between 1999 and 2005.
In a statement released Friday morning, Russell quickly refuted every accusation, ostensibly while wearing the same attire as when he was at the Gasparilla Inn.

Even though he denied any “non-consensual activity” accusations, he acknowledged that he was “a fool” when he was “young and single.”
“I was a drug addict, a sex addict, and an idiot,” he continued. However, I was never a rapist.
His comment also coincides with the resurfacing of an eyebrow-raising old interview in which he claims he can have his aide undress and give the radio personality who is questioning him a massage.
Russell has previously been accused of similar crimes; in 2023, he flatly denied allegations of sexual assault and rape made by two separate persons.
Until today, he had never been charged with anything. On May 2, he is anticipated to appear in court.
