With This Is Why, Paramore achieve their third UK Number 1 album and their first in ten years.

With 76% of its final sales coming from physical copies, the Tennessee-based rock trio Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York reach the top spot with their sixth studio album. Previously, Brand New Eyes (2009) and Paramore won the Official Albums Chart (2013). This Is Why is the most-purchased vinyl album this week, according to the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

According to Paramore, who spoke directly to OfficialCharts.com: “For this record to debut at Number 1 in the UK is so ridiculously cool and surreal. It was so inspired and influenced by some of our favorite British bands over the last two decades.

As if we weren’t already itching to go back and perform there. I appreciate all the support from your friends and admirers over there. Thank you for bearing with us. Be there quickly!

With You Me At Six’s eighth studio album Truth Decay debuting at Number 4, pop-punk has taken over the Top 5 this week.

In their 15-year tenure, the Surrey rock exports Josh Franceschi, Max Helyer, Chris Miller, Matt Barnes, and Dan Flint can now look back on seven straight Top 10 albums. The album Truth Decay, which has been selling the most physical copies this week in independent record stores, also leads the Official Record Store Chart.

In other news, ABBA’s classic album Gold -Greatest Hits propels five back into the Top 10. (10). The group’s retrospective album set new marks on the Official Charts in 2021 and was the longest-running album on the UK Top 100.

With their live hits compilation GRRR! Live (21), The Rolling Stones claim a new position, marking the group’s 54th Top 40 album overall.

Rihanna returns to the Top 40 with ANTI after her electrifying Super Bowl halftime show last weekend, during which she performed a medley of songs from her 18-year career (39). The eighth studio record by the Barbadian star, ANTI, rises 74% week over week and climbs 69 spots today. Additionally, Rihanna’s 2007 record Good Girl Gone Bad, which rose 41 positions, debuted just outside the Top 40. (42).

As a result of their triumph at the BRIT Awards over the weekend, Harry Styles and Wet Leg also experience increases on the Albums Chart. Styles’ Album of the Year-winning Harry’s Home rises four (2), and his second album Fine Line also soars 11 back into the Top 20. (20).

Wet Leg’s self-titled debut, meanwhile, soars an incredible 83 places back into the Top 40. (29).
