We Need to Talk On Kanye, a new documentary from the BBC about struggling artist and businessman Kanye West, is now under production.
Investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar, known for his analysis of pop diva Britney Spears’ conservatorship in the fact-based movie The Battle for Britney, will appear in the episode.
This one-off documentary “follows Mobeen as he attempts to understand the complex journey that led Ye to become one of the most famous and creatively successful artists of his generation,” according to a press release from the British broadcaster on Wednesday. “Unfolding against the backdrop of Ye’s 2024 election campaign, and at a time when his behavior has sparked outrage and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture,” the release from the British broadcaster said.
But more recently, to criticism and renown.
The documentary will also be accompanied by the eight-part podcast series The Kanye Story.
The programs don’t yet have any set release dates.
Grammy-winning musician Kanye West, often known as Ye, has four young children with his ex-wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
His battles with mental illness, erratic behavior, and provocative social media posts have recently overshadowed his career.
