Due to a “unprecedented number of bogus tickets,” Bad Bunny supporters were denied entry to his show in Mexico.
A ticketing error prevented even ticket holders from entering the sold-out concert on Friday (09.12.22), and there were crowding problems at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca, which can hold 25,000 people.
The troubles at the entrances were caused by the high, previously unheard-before quantity of bogus tickets, which increased the usual level of crowding, according to a statement from Ticketmaster that was translated.
People with valid tickets were denied admittance because of the crowding, which also complicated and confused the stadium entrance.
As it collaborates with the consumer protection organization PROFEC, Ticketmaster has committed to stop further fraudulent purchases.
With more than 18 billion streams, Bunny is the most streamed artist worldwide for a record-breaking third consecutive year.
Un Verano Sin Ti, the album by the Puerto Rican singer, came in first place.
Although she ranks first in the UK, Taylor Swift is the second-best artist in the world.
Her most recent album, “Midnights,” assisted in her ascent to 805 million streams in the UK alone. Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, and Kanye West made up the remaining top 5 artists in the country.
Drake, The Weekend, and BTS are the next artists in the world behind Bunny and Taylor, with Ed and Harry coming in sixth and seventh, respectively.
Meanwhile, Spotify’s most streamed song of 2022 was Harry’s smash hit “As It Was.”
With his smash single receiving close to 1.6 billion global streams, the former member of One Direction is at the top of the streaming platform’s ranks for listeners worldwide.
