Paul McCartney has confirmed that he will play a warm-up show at Frome’s Cheese & Grain this weekend before his big appearance at Glastonbury.

The 800 capacity Somerset venue took to Twitter this afternoon (June 23) to announce it will host the legendary Beatle for a surprise gig, writing: “@PaulMcCartney Live in Frome? Tomorrow night at 5pm? Ok then!”

Only at the venue and solely on a first come, first served basis, tickets may be purchased for the event. Two tickets per person are allowed, and they cost £25 plus the booking fee. The box office of the theater “will be available for longer hours today evening until tickets have sold out,” according to a statement on the website.

The announcement on the Cheese & Grain website reads, “Paul McCartney will perform live, here in Frome, at the Cheese and Grain, in 24 hours.” The only way to get tickets for this remarkable experience is in person at our box office, and they are strictly first come, first served. This evening, the box office will remain open until all available tickets have been sold.

What a fantastic chance to see Paul prepare for his Glastonbury headline performance this weekend, it continued. What a wonderful treat… This won’t be his typical performance either, according to what we’ve been told, so it should be a lovely surprise-filled afternoon.

At 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, McCartney, who recently turned 80, will perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury (June 25).

The three McCartney solo albums will be made available together for the first time, according to a recent announcement.

On August 5, a limited edition boxset containing the three albums “McCartney,” “McCartney II,” and “McCartney III” will be released.

Three alternative editions of the “McCartney I II III” box set will be offered: a limited edition color vinyl, a black vinyl version, and a CD. Each will include three unique photo prints with essays by Paul about each album. ‘McCartney I II III’ is available for pre-order here.
